In partnership with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health, HESED is committed to promoting the overall well-being of Kenyan students through comprehensive school health programs. We believe that a healthy student body is essential for academic success, personal growth, and the development of a vibrant society.
We conduct weekly educational sessions in primary schools across Kasarani and Eastleigh Sub Counties, targeting students from grades 5 to 8. Our sessions are aligned with the comprehensive school manual developed by the government and partners, ensuring that we deliver high-quality and relevant content.

At HESED Africa, our commitment to supporting school-going children goes beyond simply conducting educational sessions. Through our School Health Program, we address a wide range of critical topics aimed at promoting the overall well-being and development of children. These topics include values and life skills, gender issues, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), child rights, special needs and inclusive infrastructure, mental health, disease control and prevention, nutrition, and other cross-cutting issues that affect children’s health and education.
In addition to these informative sessions, we take practical steps to support children’s health and dignity by providing hygiene kits. These kits are thoughtfully assembled to equip children with the basic personal hygiene items they need to stay clean, confident, and healthy.
For girls, each hygiene kit contains sanitary pads, underwear, lotion, a comb, and soap. For boys, the kits include socks, underwear, a comb, soap, and petroleum jelly.
Through these efforts, HESED Africa ensures that children are not only educated about health and hygiene but are also empowered with the resources they need to practice it in their daily lives.
