Food Security

We work with communities to reduce food insecurity in the households by establishing sustainable projects. The projects seek to promote household food security. Some of the strategies adopted are promotion of seed security and crop diversity alongside other sustainable agricultural strategies.

Through local cooperatives, farmers and local groups, the projects seek  markets that work for the poor. The projects also enlighten the groups on the use of technologies and value addition systems as well as markets.

All these are projected towards  building secure livelihoods.

An example project is that of Amaranth farm at Ligala School, Sihay Division , amaranth seeds dry and are then harvested.

The school uses the vegetable to provide hot lunch for ECD class.
