Join the fight against illegal deforestation!

Illegal deforestation is a gateway activity to clearing rainforest, one of the primary causes of climate change. According to the UN up to 90% of logging in tropical rainforests is illegal.

The reason we start with a focus on stopping illegal logging is because, in case after case, we have seen first hand that if you can protect the trees, you end up protecting everything else.

Why We Must Save & Restore Forests

We depend on forests for our survival, from the air we breathe to the wood we use. Besides providing habitats for animals and livelihoods for humans, forests also offer watershed protection, prevent soil erosion and mitigate climate change. Yet, despite our dependence on forests, we are still allowing them to disappear.

Forests and Nature

We are committed to forests restoration by planting more native trees on demarcated forest lands and beyond. Forests' role in climate change is two-fold. They act as both a cause and a solution for greenhouse gas emissions. Around 25% of global emissions come from the land sector, the second largest source of greenhouse gas emissions after the energy sector.

Water Catchment Areas

The Need to Preserve, Conserve and Protect Water Catchment areas is greater now than ever before. Healthy catchments provide: A source of clean drinking water, Unspoiled natural areas for recreation, Habitat for plants and animals, Healthy vegetation and waterways, Reliable and clean water for stock and irrigation, Opportunities for sustainable agriculture and industry. Our daily activities affect the health of our catchments. The first step to protect our catchments is to better understand our impact on them.

Energy

Energy Sources is the main cause of global warming, Governments must deploy green energy sources. In the immediate term, one of the most powerful tools for lowering costs and tackling climate change is energy efficiency. There are a range of simple measures and behavioral changes that can lead to big savings and help companies reduce their carbon footprint.

Circular Economy

The concept of the circular economy aims to keep raw materials in a closed loop. In this way, resources are maximally used, the need for new ones is reduced, waste is avoided and the life cycle of products is increased.

Just Transition

In order to tackle pressing environmental challenges like climate change, pollution and plummeting biodiversity, nations and businesses need to transition towards greener, resilient and climate-neutral economies and societies. A Just Transition means greening the economy in a way that is as fair and inclusive as possible to everyone concerned, creating decent work opportunities and leaving no one behind Working on just transition brings all actors who believe in fair regional redevelopment to the same table: unions, industry, public administration, governments, civil society and others sharing this goal. They should be working together to find what is best for their regions and communities, from creating good quality jobs to identifying sustainable alternatives.

Inclusion

Inclusive climate action means both reducing the effects of climate change on the most vulnerable and ensuring the benefits and burdens of climate action are equitably distributed. Climate action becomes inclusive by engaging a wide range of stakeholders, designing policies that are fair and accessible, and equitably distributing policy impacts. This results in an adaptable and scalable approach that provides economic, environmental, and social benefits. Why is inclusive climate action important? It is a solution to address both climate change and socioeconomic inequalities. It also provides many additional benefits, such as greater economic opportunity, improved health and well-being, and better natural resource management.
